About the programme

Digital Experience Design & AI combines the Arizona State University curriculum with the practices the global IT industry and digital businesses need. The programme builds a mix of creative, analytical and technical skills for developing digital products — from generating an idea and building a prototype to refining the user experience.

What You Will Learn

User experience and user interface

You will learn to create effective interaction between a user and a digital product: from researching the audience's needs to designing interfaces.

Graphic design

You will develop skills in visual communication, composition, typography, brand identity and motion design.

Artificial intelligence

You will practise applying AI in design processes: generating ideas, prototyping, evaluating solutions and speeding up development.

Programming foundations

You will study the software lifecycle and architecture, so you can work effectively with developers and combine design with technology.

Admission

Applicant requirements

  • Complete secondary education.
  • Motivation letter.
  • Video answer in English.
  • Good command of English: B2 (TOEFL internet based: 56–78, IELTS Academic: 5.5–6.0, Duolingo English Test: 80–119).
  • NMT results (minimum scores: Ukrainian language and history of Ukraine – 120, mathematics – 130, foreign language (English) – 140+)

Required documents

  • Application form.
  • Passport of a citizen of Ukraine.
  • Individual taxpayer number (RNOKPP).
  • English language proficiency certificate.
  • A 3×4 cm photograph in electronic form.
  • Certificate of complete general secondary education, with its supplement.
  • Military registration document (for those liable for military service).

Complete the AUK registration form

Create a personal account in AUK's online applicant space, fill in the registration form in English, and upload your documents, CV and motivation letter.

Pass the programme eligibility assessment

Prepare for tests, open questions and a video answer. Successful applicants are offered a place on the programme and the scholarship options available to them.

Sign your contract with AUK

Choose your offer in the EDEBO system, submit the official documents and sign the study and financial contracts.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a strong background in mathematics?

A basic background in mathematics is an advantage, since the programme includes analytical subjects. AUK supports students in raising their level step by step.

Can I combine studying with work?

Yes, many students combine studying with work. We recommend planning your workload together with an academic advisor, especially during internships and project modules.

Is the degree recognised internationally?

Yes. The programme follows the American standard of Arizona State University, which supports the international academic and career mobility of its graduates.

When do internships start?

The academic internship is scheduled for the fourth year. Extracurricular internships, arranged with the student and partner companies, can start as early as the second year.

Can I apply for a grant?

Yes. Grants are available both at admission and during your studies, according to the programme's terms and the student's results.

How long is the bachelor's programme?

The bachelor's programme takes 4 years and ends with a Ukrainian degree awarded in line with the national education standards.

Can I continue to a master's degree afterwards?

Yes. After the bachelor's programme students can continue at master's level — including the 4+1 track, which leads to a master's degree from Arizona State University.

What does the 4+1 format mean?

After the four-year bachelor's programme students can continue to a master's degree on a shortened track: one more year in an Arizona State University master's programme, and they graduate with an ASU master's degree.

Do I have to enrol in an AUK master's programme afterwards?

No. After the four years students can take a job or continue at another master's programme, in Ukraine or abroad.
